Freya graduated as a physiotherapist from Curtin University in 2017. In 2021, she went back to university to complete a Graduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic Health while also becoming certified in Pinc and Steel Cancer Rehabilitation. Since then, she has been passionate about helping people improve their quality of life during and after cancer treatment.
In 2024, Freya spent a year working in a specialized cancer rehabilitation day hospital in South Australia, gaining hands-on experience in oncology rehab. She’s now qualified in breast and prostate cancer rehabilitation, including treating lymphatic cording, upper limb lymphoedema, and scar healing. She also focuses on pre-surgical assessment for prostate cancer and helping with continence recovery after surgery or radiotherapy.
Freya strongly believes that exercise is a key part of cancer treatment. She creates tailored, supervised exercise programs to help people maintain muscle mass, bone strength, and overall fitness – both during treatment and when returning to normal life afterward.
Alongside her work in cancer rehab, Freya also treats general musculoskeletal issues like lower back and shoulder pain. She’s a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor and enjoys running group strength and conditioning classes.
Freya is happy to see all general physiotherapy concerns and can also assess and guide patients to the right treatment plan or practitioner if needed.
